Suh-Weet!!! How Long Have I Been Waiting for This?

I've never been the sort of person to stay up to date with my photos and albums and labeling. My parents weren't.  My grandmother was and my aunties are.  Imagine how disappointed everyone was when I had children and took tons of pictures but never did anything with them.  Happens every day, you say?

Exactly.

Then the scrapbooking trend came along, and the feeling of falling short just multiplied.  I have a cousin, who, following the birth of her third(?) baby, apologized for being 6 weeks behind in scrapbooking her families memories. 6 weeks!!!  Please.  It has always been like this with the family.  With the photos.

When I was contacted by My Memories to look over their digital scrapbooking software, I was excited and scared.  What if it is like everything else I have tried?

It wasn't.  This may be the beginning of something beautiful.

It's quick... A page may take 10 minutes or less.  Without admitting to anything, there is some possibility you could knock out a page or two while dinner is cooking.

It's neat... The supplies and materials don't have to be brought out and put away.  They can't be ruined by a sweating drink or a child's snack (don't ask me why I thought of this).

It is economical...The entire My Memories Suite is less expensive than the supplies to make a few pages for a book.  There is no waste, and photos don't need to be printed beforehand and possibly not used or ruined and re-printed.

It is incredibly easy...I may have mentioned in every post , here on the blog that I am not very computery. I found the scrapbook software incredibly self-explanatory (I think the word is 'intuitive').  And the My Memories website is really user friendly.  Every time I open the program or visit the site, I discover something new and cool.

It is fun... a lot of fun.  You could make scrapbooks for the grandparents.  Educational books for preschoolers at home or classrooms. School presentations for older children. Gift books for teachers and coaches...

Seriously, that little scrapbook was created in spare minutes this week...  I am just thinking, "Merry Christmas, Grandma."  "Happy Birthday, Grandpa."  "Happy Mother's Day, Nana..."  For the rest of your life.

Yes, I said, "Your life."  My Memories gave me a copy of My Memories Suite 2 to review and one to give away!!!

I think the "Adventures of Divas", would make a brilliant book.  I'm thinking of adding a small scrapbook to my doula package.  What about you?  What is your best idea for a book?
